Customers can get their annual flu shots for $40 at more than 100 Bashas’, Food City and AJ’s Fine Foods until Friday, Dec. 30. An appointment isn’t needed.
Flu season typically peaks between December and March. According to Bashas’, as of March there were 9,500 confirmed cases of the flu in Arizona, the highest in the country, and that number is expected to rise. The Centers for Disease Control says the nasal spray form of the vaccine are ineffective, so injections are advised for everyone.
