Many of Bank of America’s Merrill EDGE employees based at a Chandler branch gave back to the community recently.

About 230 volunteers, who work at the Chandler Bank of America campus, 2565 W. Chandler Blvd., helped at several local nonprofit organizations on June 13, Make a Difference Day. They volunteered more than 928 service hours at The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix, A New Leaf, Feed My Starving Children, Sunshine Acres, Wildhorse Ranch Rescue, Dress for Success and Midwest Food Bank.

Bank of America’s Merrill EDGE employees also organized a blood drive at the Chandler Bank of America location, where 24 donors contributed blood. That resulted in 22 procedures, with the potential to save 66 lives. The Make a Difference Day Blood drive reached 138 percent of organizers’ goal.
