Singer/actress Lea Michele and fellow “Glee” alumnus Darren Criss have an undeniable chemistry. Michele thanks the Fox TV show for allowing them to become good friends.

“We have a really strong connection and spark that happens when we perform together,” Michele said. “We’ve been friends for years now. People love getting to see us do our solo stuff.”

She’s referring to the LM/DC Tour that comes to ASU Gammage on Saturday, Nov. 3.

“People love watching us come together and reminisce about ‘Glee’,” she said. “We perform a lot of ‘Glee’ songs. I sing some of the songs I did on ‘Glee’, as well as his, and the most popular duets we did on the show. We do a lot of Broadway songs as well.”

Michele last hit the road in spring 2017 for a string of sold-out shows on her Intimate Evening With North America tour. Her albums “Louder” and “Places” were critically acclaimed.

Criss most recently released a five-track indie EP entitled Homework, his first solo project in more than seven years. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart. In 2017, he debuted his indie-pop band Computer Games along with his brother Chuck Criss with their first album Lost Boys Life EP.

Between singing and acting, Michele could be called a renaissance woman. She began her career as a child actress on Broadway, appearing in “Les Miserables,” “Ragtime,” “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Spring Awakening.”

As Rachel Berry on “Glee,” she received an Emmy Award and two Golden Globe nominations. She earned three Grammy Award nominations for music she recorded for “Glee.” She also appeared on Fox’s “Scream Queens” and ABC’s “The Mayor.”

Besides her two albums, Michele has published two books, “Brunette Ambition” and “You First: Journal Your Way To Your Best Life.”

“I’ve been blessed to have a great balance of doing so many different things,” Michele said. “I don’t have to pick one lane or career. I can tour and do TV shows at the same time. It’s really awesome. I hope I can do this for the rest of my career.”

Michele and Criss will bring their tour to the United Kingdom and Ireland. Her priority, she said, is the West Coast jaunt.

“We put a lot of time and effort into these shows,” she said. “I want them to be perfect. ‘Glee’ is just so huge overseas and, obviously, here as well. We have an incredible fan base from the minute the show aired. We want to go to as many places as we can to thank those people who watched ‘Glee’.”

Michele admires Criss for the work he puts into their live show.

“I don’t think we could have done this if we didn’t have the relationship we do,” she said. “It’s a lot to travel from city to city. You’re only as good as the person you’re working with. I trust and love Darren so much. Our friendship outside of work is very strong and you can definitely see that on the stage.”

Lea Michele and Darren Criss, ASU Gammage, asugammage.com, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3, tickets start at $41.
