Veterans Can Eat Up Deals At Local Restaurants


Several restaurants in Chandler are saying “thank you” to veterans with specials next week.

In honor of Veterans Day on Nov. 11, Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que in the Phoenix area is providing all former and current military members with a free “Two Meal Salute” on Nov. 11 and 12.

With that special, veterans can choose from two different meats, including St.Louis-Style ribs, Georgia chopped pork, Texas beef brisket, country-roasted or barbeque chicken, traditional or boneless chicken wings, Southside rib tips, hot link sausage, chicken tenders or beer-battered cod. They will also get a corn bread muffin and one choice of a side dish.

The offer is only valid for those dining in the Chandler restaurant.

The “Two Meal Salute” is available to those who show a valid photo ID and proof of military service including U.S. Uniformed Service ID Card, form DD-214 or current leave and earnings statement with photo ID.

Pizza fans who have served the country can get a free entrée on Nov. 11 at Fired Pie restaurants. The restaurant will be offering a free entrée to all veterans who show their ID or are in uniform that day.

Fired Pie has two locations in Chandler. One is in Raintree Ranch at 2855 W. Ray Road and the other one is at 1155 W. Ocotillo Road, Suite 8 in Ocotillo. Information:
