Olivia Veloso is looking forward to 2022.

The Chandler author and reiki master is helping to spread the about the Centennial International Reiki event and gathering that will be held in Kyoto, Japan, two years from now.

“I know that it’s a long way out,” she explained, “but we will be opening the registration soon and we are expecting it to fill up hopefully fast since we will only have room for about 500 participants.”

Moreover, she noted, the event is open to reiki practitioners and non-practitioners alike world-wide, expanding the pool of potential applicants because the event “is big news in the world of reiki.”

Of course, she’s also hoping by then the pandemic will be brought under control, given that she had to cancel all the reiki classes she had scheduled from April to August.”

“However, I gave quite a few national and international zoom chats on the subject of reiki in relation to COVID-19 and I’ve been getting a lot more people sign up for reiki classes and treatments, so I’m happy with the response,” she added.

“Reiki is a great way to help anyone, especially during this time, because it can help relieve depression, stress, anxiety and fear…and also speed up the recovery stage of surgery, illnesses and for anyone who had contacted the virus,” she said.

Moreover, she said, “People are looking for a solution to find peace and balance and I have no doubt that once this situation settles, more people will turn to holistic healing centers and teachers for support.”

Veloso early this year published her autobiography, “Wherever You Take Me” which details a life’s journey of seemingly unrelated events that eventually come together and show “everything is an integrated reality and that we are all connected in one way or another — making up the big picture in every chapter in our lives.”

“Many times, we don’t even know that we are in search of anything,” Veloso said. “Often we are not even aware that we are being guided to rediscover a greater person than we could ever imagine ourselves to become.”

A native of the Philippines who lived in Spain before moving to Arizona in 2007, Veloso has enjoyed considerable success with her first book, “On the Wings of Manifestations,” published by Amazon in 2017.

When she isn’t writing, Veloso teaches Reiki, the Japanese practice of channeling reiki, or energy, for healing.

She is a master of eight different systems of Reiki and has taught this practice for 24 years.

A member of the Gendai Reiki Healing Association since the year 2000 and Gendai Reiki Network International in Japan, Veloso continues to teach Reiki and the Law of Attraction abroad, in Arizona and in other states.

Veloso is also certified in other holistic fields and is an intuitive reader.

So far details of the 2022 event haven’t been posted but updates will be shortly on facebook.com/Usui-Reiki-2022-101260078050919.
